Industry Live is a series of live career awareness and exploration events via Zoom. Beacon invites industry panellists to share their stories, top tips for success, and answer questions from school students across Australia in a discussion led by a trained Beacon facilitator.
Industry Live is FREE and open to all students across Australia in Years 6-12. On average, we host one Industry Live a month and schools are welcome to opt-in to as many as they like throughout the school terms.
Program structure Industry Live is a single 30 min- 1h online session with industry panellists from different professions joining live. Each session is based on a career topic such as careers in education, sport, scienceor cover life skills such as how to write a resume or how to manage your time successfully.
Industry Live exposes students to tips and stories from people with diverse career paths and connects them to industries and panellists outside of their local region.Panellists share their stories, top tips for success and answer questions from school students. Industry experts to date include the likes ofNASA researchers, doctors, apprentices in various trades and CEOs.

Industry Live school checklist You will need Internet, a computer with a webcam and a microphone to join Industry Live. A Zoom link will be sent out prior to the session to everyone who has registered. As part of your booking, you will have the option to be trained in how to access and use the appropriate technology if you wish and the Beacon Online team will perform a “tech check” with you prior to delivery.
