Process

1. Apply for a Working With Children Check via the Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG) website.

STEP 4 (Purpose of check)
Under ‘Child related sector’ SELECT ‘Education’

2. Visit a service centre to present your original identity documents (within 28 days). Take your application number, which is sent via email, once the online application is completed.

3. Send Beacon your WWCC details

  • Send your WWCC number, full name and DOB to wwcc@beaconfoundation.org.au when you receive your WWCC number (begins with WWC).
  • The email you receive when you are granted a WWCC clearance has the details you will need, including your WWCC number for future reference.
  • Your WWCC information can also be accessed securely in the Service NSW mobile app.
